WICT’s Cable Boot Camp was a unique opportunity to meet, learn from, and network with like-minded individuals from across the Telecommunications industry.  The common united factor was that everyone wanted to learn more: more about the industry, more about how we work together, more about the nuts and bolts of cable, and more about each other.  The presentations were spot on and tailored to the audience, giving enough info to get us excited about the topic and wanting to investigate more. If you are new to the industry or have always wanted to learn more about the business we are in, this program is for you!

I arrived in Denver with the goal of learning more about the Cable Industry. I accomplished my goal and more. The wonderful members of WICT added so much value to the program! We worked together to put the information that was presented at Boot Camp in context. We applied what we learned to our real life experiences and encouraged each other to face day- to-day challenges head on. We each walked away with renewed confidence to question the status quo when it is appropriate and gather support when we know we are right. This is just another example of how WICT has created an avenue for learning, networking and growing as a person. I am inspired and look forward to every opportunity I have to share what I learned with the members of New Mexico-Arizona WICT!

The experience was eye opening in many areas as well as a refresh to the knowledge already obtained from my time in the industry. I would have to say that the greatest take aways from this event were how the industry looks at the bottom line and how they determine the profit margin of the industry, to use in the decision making process of the cable industry. The other great experience that I received from attending this Boot Camp was the opportunity to network with individuals from both sides of the cable industry, from programmers to other operators. The knowledge and experience that they shared has allowed me to understand how it all plays a crucial part in the cable industry as a whole. I would highly recommend future Boot Camps to any individual who may be seeking further knowledge about our industry.
