In this professional development session designed specifically to help women build credibility and influence at work, Selena Rezvani, author and consultant, shared the takeaways from her recent book, The Next Generation of Women Leaders: What You Need to Lead But Won’t Learn in Business School. Among other trade secrets from her research, Rezvani covered what it takes for a woman to communicate persuasively, take strategic risks, convey a “leadership” brand, and manage conflict.In 2009, Selena cofounded a successful consulting business, Women’s Roadmap, where she works with corporations to create strong women’s initiatives and to foster gender balance in management ranks. Selena shares her leadership strategies around the country, giving speeches at places like Harvard, Princeton, Carnegie Mellon, Comcast, Apple, and many others. She contributes ongoing commentary to NPR’s nationally syndicated women’s show, The 51% Perspective, blogs for Forbes.com, and serves as an ongoing columnist for The Washington Post, covering women and leadership.
