The
Woman of the Year Accolade is awarded to a woman who has made a significant contributions to the cable and telecommunications industry throughout her career.
- The Woman to Watch Accolade is awarded to a woman with leadership potential who exhibits job excellence at the middle to senior management level, as well as strong dedication to the industry.

The
Tribute Accolade in the Drama/Music/Variety/Comedy category and the
Documentary/Biographical category is awarded to an original cable television production that best portrays a woman or women as strong leaders and role models.

The Forerunner Accolades for Best Programmer for Women in Cable and Best Operator for Women in Cable is determined by the results of the
PAR Initiative.
The WICT Accolade Awards will be presented at the 24th Annual WICT Benefit Gala on November 20, 2008 in Washington, D.C.
Women in Technology Award
The Women in Technology Award acknowledges the achievements of one woman who has demonstrated outstanding personal and professional growth and significantly contributed to the cable telecommunications industry.
