Exciting news, the Second Annual Mentor/Mentee Program for 2007/2008 is underway and we are extending an invitation to you for the 2008/2009 program! We doubled the size of our program this year going from 10 pairs to 20. The program continues to improve each year and we are looking forward to the feedback from this year's participants to further enhance the 2008/2009 program.
Mentoring is a human developmental process that facilitates personal growth. A mentoring relationship is formed in which one or more experienced employees share their wisdom and experience and provide the support, advice and counsel necessary for less experienced employees to grow, develop and assume positions of greater responsibility.
The goal of the Mentorship Program is to facilitate the cable and telecommunications industry by making mentors available to WICT members to assist them with their career advancement strategies. Committed, top-level industry professionals are recruited to serve as mentors to WICT members for a six-month period. In these one-to-one sessions, mentors provide support, guidance and career advice.
Any WICT member can apply to participate in the program through an application process. Interested Mentors/Mentees, please complete the appropriate form below and return on or before October 17, 2007, via email to (mark_pelto@cable.comcast.com) or fax (954 534-7039) to the attention of Mark Pelto.
WICT South Florida thanks you for your interest in the WICT South Florida 2007/2008 - Mentor/Mentee Program. The 2007/2008 program will begin in November 2007 and conclude in May 2008. The goal is to have a minimum of 10 pairs of mentors and mentees.
