Greetings and Happy New Year! 2007 was a stellar year for our Chapter and we look forward to an even better 2008! Our Chapter achieved many accomplishments in 2007 and I am thrilled to announce that we reached "INSPIRED STATUS," meaning that we met all the criteria in the Chapter Model Business Plan put forth by WICT National. For the first time since the Chapter's inception, we met and exceeded our membership goals and had great success with our first annual golf tournament. Our successes in 2007 are a testament to the hard work of our volunteer Chapter Leaders and I would like to thank them for their commitment and loyalty to the WICT VA Chapter.
In 2008, we have a robust schedule of events planned that will give you, our members, the opportunity to connect with peers while gaining valuable tools to help your careers. Please continue to check our website for the 2008 event calendar and event registration information.
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to your 2008 WICT VA Board. I am excited that we have quite a few new board members and look forward to the creativity and drive that they bring to the table.
