Congratulations Wendy Vinson, WICT VA Vice-President, on her
Induction into the 2007 Virginia Cable Hall of Fame!
Wendy D. Vinson, Senior Vice President of Marketing for Inspiration Networks and WICT VA Vice-President was one of three Virginia cable telecommunications industry leaders inducted into the Virginia Cable Hall of Fame Class of 2007, marking the seventh anniversary of the awards program.
Wendy and fellow inductees, Kenneth M. Dye, Director of Government and Community Affairs of Comcast, and Jadz Janucik, Senior Vice President of Association Affairs of NCTA, were honored by the Virginia Cable Telecommunications Association (VCTA) at a dinner and awards ceremony at the Boar's Head Inn in Charlottesville, Virginia on July 13.
Wendy has 21 years of experience in the cable industry, during which she has been a leader in affiliate relations, national and local ad sales, and marketing. Before joining INSP, Wendy was the Southeast Affiliate Sales Manager for Fox Family Channel as well as the Director of National Ad Sales Development. Her dedication and enthusiasm for the Virginia cable industry has been an inspiration to many of her colleagues. She served on the VCTA Board for 3 years, where she was an effective advocate for associate members as well as encouraging others in the cable industry to join and participate with the VCTA. Because of her leadership, INSP is always one of the initial associate members to step up to support the VCTA convention through sponsorship. She has also understood the need for the VCTA's political advocacy and has been a key supporter of the Virginia Cable PAC auctions throughout the years. In 2005 Wendy was named the "VCTA Associate of the Year." A founding member of the WICT VA Chapter, Wendy serves on its Board of Directors and is a mentor in the 2007 WICT VA Mentoring Program. Wendy is highly regarded as a distinguished leader by programmers and cable operators alike.
