Dear WICT Member:

In 2010, we celebrated 30 years as a chapter of Women in Cable Telecommunications, the organization dedicated to developing women leaders in our industry. At the end of last year our chapter was recognized by WICT national with awards for Mentoring Excellence, Programming Achievement (2nd place) and The Enterprise Award ("going where no chapter has gone before"). We are very proud of these achievements and we could not have done this without your participation!

As we look to the future and align ourselves with WICT National's strategic plan, your Chapter Board of Directors will continue to provide you with an outstanding "ROI" as a WICT member. We stand by WICT's mission of developing women, and will do so through effective programming, book clubs, webinars, and mentoring opportunities, as well as time to connect and build relationships that can help you both personally and professionally. For that reason our theme this year will be one of the WICT Touchstones:

CONNECT - To your peers, your industry and everything around you.
We encourage you to come to the chapter events and learn more about the cable/telecommunications industry, connect with chapter members and get involved. If you are currently not a member and want more information, please go to www.wict.org and click on the membership link.

As you know, this chapter has been known as "WICT Atlanta" for many years. We recognize that our membership is not contained to a single city, but encompasses a much larger territory. This chapter consists of over 1110 members from Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi. For that reason, we are changing our chapter name to: WICT SOUTHEAST. We feel this name better reflects our membership as a whole and we look forward to expanding our reach and developing women leaders who transform our industry. The name change to WICT SOUTHEAST will take place over the next few weeks and months, as we transition our materials, website and correspondence.
