WORDS FROM OUR 2012 WICT SE PRESIDENT

The WICT Southeast Chapter has another fantastic year planned for you.  The 2012 Board has been working together to give you the opportunity to develop your leadership skills and connect to the people and technology that are changing our industry.

Last year, we helped you CONNECT and we changed our chapter name to reflect our southeast footprint.  This year we are helping you take those connections and BE A CATALYST that engages in the challenges that transforms our industry and leaders every day.   One of our WICT National Touchstones, BE A CATALYST means raising standards, promoting respect and setting the wheels of change in motion.  Right out of the gate we have provided our members with amazing programs that had great attendance, like Taste of WICT 2012 and the Georgia Tech Future Tech Summit.  At the Summit, our members got to experience 16 labs presented by brilliant students that showcased the latest in interactive media and digital technology. 

I am happy to announce that the WICT SE Board has embraced the BE A CATALYST theme for the year and is taking to heart what that means as your leadership.  We want to make your experience in WICT a priority and starting today, all WICT SE members will have free access to all WICT SE programming for 2012.  That means the return on your investment in being a WICT member gives you a year of free training, mentoring, webinars and networking opportunities with the people who are the movers and shakers in our industry. The Red Letter Awards and the Golf and Tennis events are excluded, but everything else in the Southeast Chapter’s lineup is free. 

The first opportunity started on March 29^th when WICT SE hosted two events in Knoxville, TN:  a book club in the morning and at noon, a TV Everywhere panel.   In May, we had a book club in Atlanta and mentoring events.  Keep visiting our website and connect with us via our social media (below) for more information of upcoming opportunities.

Share this information with you team, your boss, and your peers.  They deserve the opportunities that you have this year.  Our mission to promote leaders means at every level and we are taking the lead to make it easier to informed, inspired and connected.
