Clothes for CARA!
WICT is working with our members and partner organizations to collect new and gently used business clothes for The Cara Program. Cara provides job training and placement for individuals affected by homelessness and poverty, but it's also a vehicle for true life transformations. Since its inception, The Cara Program has placed more than 2,700 individuals into quality, permanent employment (at one-year job retention rates of 72%), catalyzing the same number of families to stop the transfer of poverty from one generation to the next.
Cara is in need of professional attire to assist members with job searches. Do a little spring cleaning and help a worthy cause.
Needed items include:
Suits (black, grey, brown, dark/navy blue)
Jackets
Dress shirts/blouses
Dress pants
Skirts
Dress shoes
Socks or Hosiery (new only)
Donation boxes will be available May 27 through June 3. If you have questions about making a donation contact the following project leaders from your respective organizations.
