WICT-Greater Chicago partners with Comcast Cares to give back to the community on April 30!
On Wednesday April 6, at the Visionary Leadership event, WICT members and supporters raised more than $1,000 to help The Yale Elementary School Project! And the caring continues on April 30, when WICT joins forces with our partners at Comcast and help celebrate a “Decade of Caring” by participating at the Yale Elementary School Project. In addition to WICT and Comcast employees, you will join 200 additional volunteers from City Year Chicago, surrounding churches, and The Chicago Urban League. April 30 will be an amazing day in Comcast history and you are all invited to come and experience it firsthand.
This is a wonderful community partnership because of Yale’s vision for preparing proud, positive, and productive students for the future. Yale Elementary School offers a nurturing learning environment that allows their students, staff and community members to gain the skills needed to meet the demands of tomorrow. Their vision is a perfect example of why Comcast Cares Day has its purpose and existence and why WICT is so interested in their prosperity.
What you will do: paint murals of prominent and influential figures; draw and paint inspirational quotes along the school’s hallway, and help beautify the school grounds with flowers and plantings.
