Facilitators:Founding member of Laughing Matters and The Gorgeous Ladies of Comedy, Allison Dukes Gilmore has entertained and educated audiences through improvisational comedy for over 20 years. Her passion is teaching the skills of improvisation for leadership development to a wide range of students - from CEOs to pastors, children to adults. She's also the director of the PhD program in business at Emory University where she trains students across all programs about the principles of leadership through intuitive and spontaneous thinking. Allison has trained emergency medicine residents at the Emory School of Medicine and Center of Ethics and has taught faculty across the University in the Masters teaching program. She's also worked in the areas of Innovation and Creativity in Business with MBA and engineering students at Georgia Tech and numerous Fortune 500 companies. Assistant facilitator Elizabeth Beasley is a copywriter for Cartoon Network and has worked at Turner Broadcasting since 1998 in a variety of roles and divisions ranging from communications manager for Turner Studios to interactive producer for TBS. She studied radio, TV and motion pictures at the University of North Carolina, but her real love of entertainment was born from many hours of watching Hee Haw and The Carol Burnett Show. Elizabeth started taking improv classes at Laughing Matters and Dad's Garage in 2000 and met her fellow Gorgeous Ladies of Comedy shortly afterwards. In addition to performing with The Gorgeous Ladies of Comedy, she helps with the strategic planning and marketing of their shows. And she uses her improv skills every single day at work! Especially when she has to explain why she took such a long lunch.
