The Greater Texas Chapter of Women in Cable Telecommunications is finalizing plans for the second annual WICT- Greater Texas Lone Star Triple Play in May of 2009. We invite you to be a part of this unique event. The success of the inaugural WICT Lone Star Awards Gala in 2008, held in conjunction with a newly created Leadership Seminar and the annual Dru Strange Charity Golf Tournament was beyond all expectations. Now dubbed the Lone Star Triple Play, the 2009 event has been expanded to provide opportunity for more attendees, more sponsors and more excitement.
As you may know, Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) develops women leaders who transform our industry. As the oldest and largest organization serving women professionals in cable telecommunications, WICT is at the forefront of an industry undergoing constant change. Since its founding in 1979, WICT has remained steadfast in its resolve to advance the position and influence of women through proven leadership programs and services at both the national and local level.
WICT Lone Star Awards are granted in six categories: Inspiration Award, Shining Star Award, Rising Star Award, Woman in Technology Award, Advocate Award and Partner Award. After last year’s standing room only crowd and full slate of sponsors, we expect even more industry leaders from Texas and corporate offices to attend the Gala and the leadership seminar, and/or participate in the golf tournament.
