Chantilly, VA- Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) today announced the 2007 roster of Chapter Presidents (below). All 20 WICT Chapters are committed to the WICT mission of developing women leaders who transform our industry. Each chapter maintains its own governing board and provides programming which specifically addresses the needs of its members. In an awards ceremony last week, WICT awarded three Chapter of the Year Awards. In the large chapter category, the WICT Atlanta Chapter received the Chapter of the Year Award. For medium-sized chapters, WICT New England took Chapter of the Year honors and the WICT Pacific Northwest Chapter captured the Chapter of the Year title for small chapters.Chapter leaders gathered at the 2007 Chapter Leadership Conference, held last week at the Dallas Marriot Suites Market Center in Dallas, Texas. WICT staff, board members and chapter leaders share best practices in membership, marketing, programming, sponsorship and research and advocacy. The event, which began Monday, January 22 and concluded on Tuesday, January 23, 2007, included sessions on board governance and branding, as well as the opportunity for chapter leaders from across the country to share their experiences and challenges.
