Chantilly, VA- Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) today announced that it has promoted Parthavi Das to the position of Senior Vice President of Strategy & Initiatives.In her new role, Parthavi will have oversight for WICT’s programming, initiatives and strategy. She will continue to oversee the WICT Foundation’s research and initiatives, including the PAR Initiative and the annual Accolades Awards."With more than 10 years at WICT, Parthavi possesses a unique understanding of our industry, our members and our programs,” said Benita Fitzgerald Mosley, WICT President & CEO. “Her hard work and dedication have helped grow WICT into the organization that it is today, and in her new role, she will have even greater responsibility for determining the strategic direction of the organization.”
Das previously served as WICT’s VP of Strategic Initiatives and as Director of Research & Advocacy. Now in its fourth year, Das directed the launch of the PAR Initiative, the WICT Foundation’s effort to measure and support the advancement of women in the cable and telecommunications industry based on: Pay equity, Advancement opportunities, and Resources for work/life support. Her previous accomplishments include managing the WICT Foundation’s Best Practices Initiative, a comprehensive workforce study examining corporate best practices in the areas of diversity, work/life, compensation, learning and development and their impact on corporate cultures. Das earned a master’s degree in Telecommunications from Michigan State University and a bachelor's degree in Communications at Northwestern University.
