WOMEN IN CABLE & TELECOMMUNICATIONS CHANGES NAME
Chantilly, VA- Women in Cable & Telecommunications today announced that it will officially drop the “&” and become Women in Cable Telecommunications. This name change strengthens WICT’s commitment as an organization that supports the cable industry exclusively.
With industry consolidation and competition, the need to re-evaluate membership eligibility has been at the forefront of WICT’s strategic planning process. Recently, the bylaws of WICT, Inc. were changed to be more specific to the cable industry.
“The name change will provide clarity for our members, and the industry, and reflects our recent bylaw change limiting membership to those in the cable industry,” said Benita Fitzgerald Mosley, WICT President & CEO.
