Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) today announced that it has achieved membership growth every year since 2004 and has reached an all-time high of 7,000 members this month.

This strong, sustained membership increase is attributed to the valuable resources and programs WICT provides members and their companies. WICT provides a unique platform for women leaders to connect with each other and to also connect to the larger cable community.

“We are thrilled to achieve this membership milestone. Membership growth allows us to continue to provide the best in leadership development and advocacy initiatives,” said Benita Fitzgerald Mosley, WICT President & CEO. “Over 40 percent of our new members come from member referrals, a true testament to the value our members and their companies receive from WICT.”

WICT Member Benefits Membership in Women in Cable Telecommunications is open to all cable professionals, male or female. Members receive discounted registrations to WICT national programs as well as access to programming from local WICT chapters. WICT provides essential research to members, including the ground breaking PAR Initiative, that assesses industry progress and identifies best practices. The PAR at Work newsletter showcases individuals who have personally benefited from the best practices of the PAR Best Companies and provides useful career tips.

Recognition for industry accomplishments through WICT’s awards programs, discounts on trade and leadership publications and access to WICT’s online career center are also some of the benefits of membership.
