Chantilly, VA- Women in Cable & Telecommunications (WICT) today announced that it has promoted Parthavi Das and Robin Pearson to the position of Vice President.
Parthavi Das, Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, previously served as WICT’s Director of Research & Advocacy. She directed the launch of the PAR Initiative, the WICT Foundation’s effort to measure and support the advancement of women in the cable and telecommunications industry based on: Pay equity, Advancement opportunities, and Resources for work/life support. Her previous accomplishments include managing the WICT Foundation’s Best Practices Initiative, a comprehensive workforce study examining corporate best practices in the areas of diversity, work/life, compensation, learning and development and their impact on corporate cultures. Das earned a master’s degree in Telecommunications from Michigan State University and a bachelor's degree in Communications at Northwestern University.
Robin A. Pearson, Vice President of Business Development, previously served as WICT’s Director of Development. In this capacity, she oversaw all fund raising and business development for the WICT Foundation and WICT, Inc. programming. Her responsibilities also included the total event production of the Annual WICT Foundation Benefit Gala, one of the cable & telecommunications industry’s must attend events that present Accolades to the industry’s top talent helping the progression of women. Prior to joining WICT in 2001, Pearson guided key corporate partnerships and the marketing strategies for American Horizon Holdings. She has also worked for the NIKE World Masters Games, the 1996 Olympic Games, the National Basketball Association, Bristol-Myers Squibb and Nestle. Pearson earned an MBA from the UCLA Graduate School of Management and a BA in Social Psychology from Tufts University.
