Chantilly, VA- Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) today announced that it will award three Fellowships to the 2009 WICT Leadership Conference, taking place April 1-2, 2009 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. To be considered, applications must be submitted electronically to patallah@wict.org by Friday, February 13, 2009 at 5:00 pm EST. CHERYL GREEN FELLOWSHIP The Cheryl Green Fellowship covering The WICT Leadership Conference registration fee will be awarded based upon the applicant's demonstration of how they have helped the advancement of women in the workplace. Applicants must be female and work in the cable telecommunications industry at the time of application. Additional factors of consideration include membership and participation in WICT. JUNE TRAVIS FELLOWSHIP The June Travis Fellowship covering The WICT Leadership Conference registration fee, travel, and hotel costs will be awarded based in part upon his/her demonstration of how The WICT Leadership Conference will help them gain new management and leadership skills and enhance their range or level of expertise. Applicants must be working in the telecommunications industry at the time of application. Additional factors of consideration include WICT membership and participation in WICT. LUCILLE LARKIN FELLOWSHIP The Lucille Larkin Fellowship covering The WICT Leadership Conference registration fee will be awarded based upon the applicant's demonstration of the value of the contributions they have made to WICT and the industry as a whole. Applicants must be working in the telecommunications industry at the time of application. Additional factors of consideration include WICT membership and participation in WICT.
