Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) today announced the members of Classes 4 and 5 of the Rising Leaders Program. WICT’s Rising Leaders immerse themselves in an intensive week-long program comprised of leadership analysis, case study work, cable business acumen and tactical leadership skill development.
Due to the overwhelming interest in this program and the number of qualified applicants received in the past years, there are two Rising Leaders classes in 2009. They will run concurrently during the same week in April.
“The women selected for this program have established their value as leaders to their organizations,” said Laurie Root, WICT Vice President, Education & Program Development, “and WICT’s Rising Leaders Program will provide them with the necessary tools and techniques to continue their leadership journey as the next generation of industry leaders.”

About the WICT Rising Leaders ProgramWICT’s 2009 Rising Leaders Program, held in Delray Beach, Florida from April 20-24, will guide industry professionals to design their individual leadership blueprint by participating in an intensive week-long immersion program comprised of leadership analysis, case study work, cable business acumen and tactical personal leadership skill development. Because of the overwhelming interest in this program and the number of qualified applicants we have received in the past years that there will be two Rising Leaders classes of thirty women each in 2009, which will run concurrently during the same week in April. The in-depth leadership course curriculum will be led by Erika Andersen, Founder of Proteus International and supported by Proteus' senior staff members, Cindy Swensen and Jennifer Sherman.
