Chantilly, VA - Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) today announced that membership reached an all-time high of 9,061, more than 11 percent higher than the previous record of 8,146, which was attained in 2010. This announcement follows on the heels of the highly successful WICT Leadership Conference and Touchstones Luncheon, both of which were marked by 30 percent growth in attendance over 2010.
"We are proud to announce a record-setting membership number for the second year in a row," said Maria E. Brennan, WICT President & CEO. "Our members and the companies that support WICT clearly value our proven leadership and career development programs. We share this milestone with them and our local chapters across the country."
Achieving this landmark can likely be attributed to the valuable resources and educational opportunities WICT provides to its members and partner companies. As the largest and strongest organization representing women in cable media, WICT gives women a competitive edge through its leadership development initiatives, including the highly-regarded Betsy Magness Leadership Institute, Tech It Out, the Rising Leaders Program and more.
