Chantilly, VA- Women in Cable & Telecommunications (WICT) today announced the appointment of Tamara Kukla as Director of Programming and Anissa Sears as Development and Research Assistant. Tamara Kukla, Director of Programming, previously served as Vice President of Membership and Customer Service for Community Associations Institute (CAI). In this role, she was responsible for CAI’s membership strategy, including developing and implementing a new membership structure and database. Prior to her service at CAI, Kukla worked for 5 years with the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM) where she worked as the Director of Program Planning and Director of Membership Marketing. In addition to her industry experience, Kukla also brings a wealth of association knowledge to WICT; she has worked with the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association, BillCom Expo and Conference Group and the Navy League of the United States. Kukla holds a B.A. in Political Science from UCSD, a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Duke University and attended CTAM U at Harvard University. She is a member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and the Direct Marketing Association of Washington.Anissa Sears also joins WICT as Development and Research Assistant. In this role, she will assist both the VP of Strategic Initiatives and the VP of Business Development. Sears served in the United States Air Force for 8 years, including service during Desert Storm in Saudi Arabia. She has a B.A. in Communications from George Washington University, with an emphasis on women’s studies and business.
