Ron Rizzuto, Ph.D
Ron Rizzuto is Professor of Finance and Co-Director of the Reiman School of Finance in the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver. Rizzuto teaches both graduate and undergraduate courses in the areas of capital expenditure analysis, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate financial planning. Rizzuto is also a Senior Fellow at the Magness Institute at The Cable Center. In this role, he conducts training programs and does research and consulting projects focused on the cable telecommunications industry.
Rizzuto has been involved with the cable industry for approximately 25 years. He has taught cable finance courses for Time Warner Cable and other MSOs as well as various programming organizations. He helped author the cases studies for Women In Cable Telecommunication’s Management Conference and FORUMS from 1985-2006. Rizzuto is one of the leading authorities on the economics of telecommunication overbuilds in the U.S.
His undergraduate degree is in finance from the University of Colorado and his graduate degrees are in finance and economics from New York University.
Rizzuto was inducted into Cable TV Pioneers in 2004 for his service to the cable industry. Rizzuto is an Honorary Lifetime member of WICT and received WICT’s Special Accolade Award in 1988 and 1991.
