WICT’s Tech It Out (TIO) Initiative was developed to build awareness of the tremendous opportunities for women in the telecommunications technology sectors. Specifically, the WICT TIO Initiative:
WICT research reveals that the number of women in technology positions is low and that number in the cable industry is trending downward. To help reverse this trend, WICT has identified four key audiences for targeted outreach: women in the cable industry; women employed outside of the industry (in technical or non-technical roles); young professional women and those poised to begin their careers at the college level; and middle- to high school-age girls.
