Brooke Schasteen-Smith is Manager of Content Distribution and Marketing at Scripps Networks Interactive. In her role, she serves as the lead affiliate account manager for Dish Network and Sling TV. Schasteen-Smith is responsible for the development and execution of marketing partnerships with her accounts. A recent example is the Dish Network "movers" customer retention campaign, featuring HGTV and the Property Brothers. The campaign reaches over 14 million consumers.
Since joining Scripps in June of 2013, Schasteen-Smith has managed corporate events, worked with her accounts to sell in cross-channel promotions, created media barters, and produced sweepstakes that helped drive tune in for Scripps programming priorities. She also created marketing initiatives to support the launch of Cooking Channel and DIY Network with a key affiliate. Schasteen-Smith continues to be the liaison between her accounts and the consumer marking teams at HGTV, Food Network, Travel Channel, Cooking Channel, DIY Network, and GAC.
An active member of WICT since 2013, Schasteen-Smith consistently participates in local chapter events, has served as a mentor in the WICT Southeast Student Mentoring Program, was a member of the 2016 WICT NY Mentoring Circle, and currently serves on the membership, mentoring circle, and prime access committees.
Schasteen-Smith graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mississippi State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in child life therapy. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering with Hope for New York as a mentor to high school students, running in Central Park, seeking out new adventures and traveling both internationally and domestically.
