Aimee Metrick

As vice president of public
relations for Comcast’s Beltway Region, Aimee N. Metrick oversees all aspects
of Comcast’s communications throughout key media markets that serve
approximately two million customers with more than 5,000 employees located
across Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and Washington, D.C.  Ms. Metrick leads an award winning team to
develop and execute integrated communications strategies and programs to
promote Comcast’s residential and commercial products and services and
community investment initiatives, and is responsible for reactive issues
management and crisis communications needs.  As a member of the Region’s senior leadership
team, Ms. Metrick also serves as strategic counsel across numerous business
units and frequently coordinates with the Federal and Corporate communications
teams. 

Prior to joining Comcast, Ms.
Metrick managed corporate communications for Sprint Nextel and worked closely
with its executive leadership team to position the company as a leader in the
wireless industry.  During her time at Sprint Nextel, she managed national
and financial communications for the company, including its $70 billion merger
announcement between Nextel and Sprint, and the launch of the NASCAR Nextel Cup
Series, the nation’s largest sports sponsorship. 

Ms. Metrick previously worked
at nationally-ranked public relations agencies in New York City and Washington,
D.C. where she served as day-to-day strategic counsel for numerous clients
across a broad range of industries, including message training and coordination
of national and international media tours.

Ms. Metrick is a graduate of
Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass
Communications.   She is a graduate of
the Comcast Women in Leadership at Wharton School Program, Aresty Institute of
Executive Education, University of Pennsylvania.  Ms. Metrick serves on the Board of Directors
for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Chesapeake and is a member of the Public
Relations Society of America (PRSA) and Women in Cable Telecommunications
(WICT), where she also serves as a WICT Mentor. 
Ms. Metrick resides in Maryland with her husband and son.
