WICT Staff: Vice President of Business Development & Marketing Alex Dombronovich (aka: Future Maker)

In her own words…

“Coming soon to a future near you.” – That’s my vision!  My job is one that informs the psychographical pace of WICT and allows me to enhance and nourish WICT’s brand by building and sustaining strong, external relationships and strategic partnerships.  I get excited considering new directions and growth opportunities, and I haven’t thought “inside the box” since (well…I’ve never actually thought “inside the box”).  I incessantly explore new marketplace opportunities, inform you about new programs and assets and talk about WICT to anyone who has a few minutes to spare.  What you feel when you interact with our brand – that’s what I do, and "WICTstorming" new ideas – I do that too.  As for all of the energy that sometimes translates as crazed enthusiasm about WICT’s mission and relevance – that’s just who I am!

I am a proud graduate of WICT’s Betsy Magness Leadership Institute (BMLI) Class XVI and fill much of my spare time playing the piano, singing dramatically into a hairbrush and practicing “Being Fearless” to imaginary standing ovations."

Alex Dombronovich is WICT’s Vice President of Business Development & Marketing.

Alex Dombronovich is Vice President of Business Development & Marketing for Women in Cable Telecommunications, overseeing all WICT Strategic Partnerships, accountable for creating sustained sponsorship opportunities for existing parters, and developing new partnerships with prospects of key interest. In this role she is also responsible for developing and maintaining effective Marketing, Communications and Public Relations strategies and Website Management.   Alex also oversees fundraising, production and scripting aspects of the annual WICT Benefit Gala.

She served in previous years as Vice President and Membership Chair, and as Mentoring Director in 2004, developed the chapter’s first successful, and still ongoing, mentoring partnership with Agnes Scott College, and initiated the chapter’s first formal peer-to-peer mentoring program.

Alex has served on the CTAM National Advisory Council, the Network Ad Sales Affiliate Rep (NASAR) Council, and is a member of NAMIC (National Association of Multi-Ethnicity in Communications). She is also a proud graduate of the highly distinguished Betsy Magness Leadership Institute (BMLI) Class XVI.  Before her appointment at ‘Weather,’ Alex was a Local Sales Manager for Time Warner Cable/South Carolina Division and CableVantage.  Her career in cable started in Local Origination Production.
