VP, Corporate Communications & Talent Relations Hallmark Media
Allison Bennett serves as vice president of corporate communications, talent relations & events for Hallmark Media, home to linear networks, Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, and Hallmark Drama; subscription video on demand streaming service, Hallmark Movies Now; and publishing division, Hallmark Publishing. She is based in New York City and reports to chief communications officer, Annie Howell.
Bennett’s oversight includes the development and execution of events and strategic corporate communications and media relations plans that elevate visibility for Hallmark Media’s business developments, distribution expansion, corporate social responsibility initiatives, and ratings performance. She is also responsible for executive profile building, external corporate messaging, and internal communications. Bennet began her career with Hallmark Media in 2011 as director, corporate communications & media relations.
Bennett’s prior experience includes acting as director of media relations for TV Guide Publishing Group, as well as senior publicist at MTV, where she served as the primary press liaison for the network’s News & Documentary departments, as well as its Public Affairs/Pro-Social division. Previously, Bennett was tapped as public relations manager by historic arts and popular culture publication, Interview magazine, where she built the PR department from the ground up. She began her career as a book publicist for Simon & Schuster.
Bennett graduated with honors from the University of California at Santa Barbara, where she earned a B.A. in English literature.
