Amanda Detweiler is the Director of Financial Applications for Comcast Corporation, a Fortune 50 Company uniquely positioned at the intersection of media and technology comprised of two primary businesses: Comcast Cable and NBCUniversal. In this role, Amanda leads the Comcast Controller Organization’s efforts to provide Financial Management and Operational Reporting to approximately 1500 internal customers. Amanda leads a globally diverse team of developers to deliver Financial and Supply Chain Reporting solutions based on a partnership with the user community. Amanda’s unique IT/Finance acumen allows her to bridge the gap between the Finance and Technology worlds.
Previously, Amanda worked at Verint Systems as a Senior Manager of BI Applications for the IT Department. She managed both Business Intelligence and Planning/Forecasting Systems, adding additional reporting and planning systems to her team’s portfolio yearly. She also acted as a consulting and senior Pre-Sales Consultant for a period of three years, developing Cognos Planning and Forecasting solutions as well as providing training and project management for clients of ISA Consulting. Amanda also enjoyed a successful tenure of progressive responsibility at a boutique accounting and POS software company catering to Country Clubs. Amanda left her role there as Executive Vice President and General Manager.
