Amanda Gentles

Amanda Gentles is SVP & GM at WarnerMedia Studios, the next-generation production division supporting WarnerMedia’s entire portfolio.

In this role, Gentles oversees operations, logistics, and project management for content creation in collaboration with more than 170 partners across over 40 business units throughout all company divisions – including HBO Max, TBS, TNT, truTV, Bleacher Report, Cartoon Network, CNN, Turner Classic Movies (TCM), and Turner Sports. Overall, WarnerMedia Studios devotes more than 500,000 hours to nearly 600 content and creative production projects each year. In 2019, her responsibilities expanded from oversight of all operations to include direct leadership of WarnerMedia Studios’ Production function, directing all facets of productions taking place in the studios, including production management, crewing, and scenic services.

WarnerMedia Studios encompasses a broad and complex range of creative and technical capabilities, including production, post-production, design, live events, social media strategy, and technology and workflows. Its team includes hundreds of highly skilled artists and craftspeople, most of whom are concentrated in a 300,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility in Atlanta. WarnerMedia Studios’ facility is home to TNT’s Inside the NBA, NBA TV, MLB on TBS, and NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship (March Madness) coverage originating from Atlanta, as well as TCM’s original content, numerous game shows, and many other productions.

Prior to WarnerMedia Studios, Gentles spent nine years with the integrated marketing team – known as “The Sponsor Shop” – for Turner Entertainment Networks (TEN), most recently serving as Senior Director of Sponsorship Solutions. There she led an award-winning team responsible for the development and execution of integrated branded content, marketing partnerships, sponsored promotions, and custom multi-platform campaigns. Her team developed and directed more than 300 custom sponsorship opportunities that helped increase TBS and TNT’s ad revenue by $20 million annually, with Gentles overseeing all elements from strategy and scripting through production and delivery for linear, digital, OOH, and social media. Her work was recognized in 2010 by Promax, who named her one of their 13 Under 30 Next Gen Marketing Executives.

Gentles began her career at Turner in 2002, joining its Network Operations group after graduating from Wake Forest University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications.

Gentles lives in Atlanta with her husband Andrew and their son Cooper.
