Andrea Macey

As director of multi-platform content for WE tv, Andrea Macey oversees the development and maintenance of WEtv.com, the premiere source for confident women looking to satisfy their curiosity with fascinating original stories that entertain, inform, and give women something they can’t help but talk about.

In this role, Ms. Macey is responsible for content, branding, advertiser integration, design and online marketing in an effort to drive online traffic and revenue.  She also contributes to the strategy and development of content for WE tv On Demand, the network’s On Demand service.  In 2007, Ms. Macey was a key contributor to the redesign of WEtv.com, resulting in an increase in traffic of 100% over 2006.  She was also an integral part of the creation and launch of WEgobridal.com in 2007, a broadband companion site dedicated to all things bridal, which resulted in the highest trafficked month in WEtv.com history in its debut year.  WEgobridal.com has since been rolled into WEtv.com to form its WE go Bridal section when the site was rebuilt in 2008.  Central to the site’s rebuild was a strategy shift – moving from a promotional site to a fully interactive community, that included social media, original web series, user generated content and expert bloggers.  The site saw double digit increases in traffic, page views and video views following the strategy shift and rebuild.

Prior to joining WE tv in 2006, Ms. Macey was manager of community marketing at Fox News Channel.  During her eight year tenure there, she oversaw the content and development of the FOX Fan section of FOXNews.com.  She also oversaw the online content for shows, including the network program “Geraldo at Large,” and “The Tony Snow Show” and “The Alan Colmes Show” radio programs.  Earlier positions at FNC included community producer and project coordinator of advertising and promotion.  Earlier in her career, Ms. Macey served as programming operations coordinator for WLIW21/Program Resources Group and as a trainer for Borders Books and Music.

Ms. Macey earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in communication from the State University of New York at Albany.  She is a member of Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) and Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM).  Ms. Macey is a member of, and serves as communications coordinator for, the Greater Nassau Chorus of Sweet Adelines International, an award-winning all-women’s a cappella chorus.  She resides in Farmingdale, NY with her husband Andrew.
