Ann Maney

​Ann Maney is currently the Sr. Director, Casting and Talent at Nickelodeon, overseeing casting on pilots, movies, and current series. Series and pilots include current Nick shows School of Rock, Nicky, Ricky, Dicky and Dawn, the pilot of Knight Squad, and TV movies Blurt and Alex and Me. Ann hails from Boston originally but she knew from the first time she stepped on a stage she would eventually make it to Hollywood.

 

Ann moved to NYC after graduation and pursued a career in casting for 10 years. Los Angeles called and Ann started scouting comedy talent, working at The Carsey-Werner Company in development, then joined Disney features in the role of Talent Scout, and was later hired in the Comedy Department at the Gersh Agency. Ann was recruited by Marcia Shulman as Director of Casting at 20th Century Fox Television and promoted to VP within 3 years. After 6 years overseeing casting on comedy pilots and series, Ann left to produce and write, developing a pilot with the band Barenaked Ladies, and writing and developing other writers’ projects for Fox and other networks.

 

Ann returned to casting on HBO’s The Newsroom, and later joined the network casting team at Nickelodeon, where comedy and kids come first!

 

Ann attended Milton Academy and graduated from Tufts University with a BA in English.
