Anne Marie Burns

Anne Marie is an Associate Director of Compensation in Human Resources for ESPN. Joining the ESPN team in Bristol, CT in 2004 Anne Marie assists in leading the development and implementation of total compensation and rewards programs for the organization. She partners closely with business leaders to provide education and guidance on the company’s compensation strategy and tools designed to attract, motivate and retain employees. Anne Marie has been responsible for managing the annual employee and executive compensation planning process for 6,000 employees worldwide including the design and implementation of a company-wide compensation planning tool.

Previously Anne Marie worked for Northrop Grumman in the northern Virginia area for six years. Beginning her career in human resources she first served as an HR Business Partner and then specialized in Compensation. While at Northrop Grumman Anne Marie also earned a Six Sigma Green Belt certification and was active on HR process improvement initiatives.

Anne Marie completed a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Villanova University and a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from The George Washington University. She holds certifications as Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) from WorldatWork as well as Professional in Human Resources (PHR) from the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM).
