Ariel Burr

Ariel is a born and raised Alaskan, and comes from a very large family. Her mother is one of eleven and her father is one of twelve. She has over 50 first cousins on her mom’s side. She grew up in small town called Bird Creek, just outside of the big city of Anchorage.

She received her Bachelors of Arts in International Studies and Dual Languages (Spanish and French) from the University of Alaska, Anchorage in 2012. She has worked for GCI for the past six years, starting as the Universal Service Fund (USF) Account Administrator in 2013. Just after a year, she was promoted the USF Manager in 2014. She graduated with her Masters in Business Administration in December of 2016. She was promoted to Senior Manager of Administrative Services in June of 2018. She manages a team of three administrators, and together they maintain detailed customer account, billing, and funding information for hospitals, schools, and libraries in rural Alaska. She is also an avid volunteer in her community. She has volunteered with several local organizations including Big Brother Big Sister, the Food Bank, First Lego League and Academic Decathlon. She has a very deep passion for community service and a strong commitment to Alaska. In her free time, she also enjoys cooking and competing in chili cook offs!
