Brandi Drake

Brandi Drake serves as the Transaction Tax Director for Time Warner Cable.  Brandi is in her 7th year with Time Warner Cable.  In her current role, Brandi manages the tax and regulatory compliance of $850M annually and the account reconciliation process for all transaction tax accounts.  Brandi researches the taxability of new products, performs due diligence reviews for transaction tax consequences of potential acquisitions, and manages the transaction tax integration of the acquired companies’ operational procedures.  Additionally, Brandi assists with restructuring planning, including an analysis of transaction tax consequences resulting from the restructuring.

 

Prior to joining Time Warner Cable, Brandi was a Senior Manager at KPMG working in both the Atlanta State and Local Tax practice and the Washington National Tax (WNT) Practice.  While at KPMG, Brandi’s responsibilities included execution and management of national projects to satisfy client needs with a specialization in the telecommunications industry and management of multiple client contracts and billing.  As part of WNT, Brandi developed and taught state and local tax training for the company and assisted in the preparation and review of opinion letters.  Brandi was one of 30 managers selected for participation in the KPMG’s first annual Southeast Area Manager Leadership Forum, which was developed to bring a cross-functional group of top performing managers together to address business challenges facing clients.  Brandi was also selected to represent KPMG at an elite women’s mentorship program.

 

Brandi holds CPA certification and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and Masters of Accountancy from the University of Georgia.  She resides in Charlotte with her husband, dog, cat and rabbit.  In her spare time, Brandi enjoys traveling, SCUBA diving and volunteering at the local animal shelter.
