Cara Petonic

Cara serves as a Director of Corporate Strategy for Comcast Corporation, and brings more than a decade of experience in strategy consulting and finance to her role.  Cara focuses on the overall growth strategy of Comcast and NBCUniversal, and, among other opportunities, has worked directly with the CFO to construct a consolidated view of the long-range strategic plan, analyzed IP franchise origination & monetization process, pinpointing NBCU opportunities, and identified international areas of interest for the company to investigate.

 

Prior, Cara was a Strategy Consultant in Accenture’s Public Service Practice, where she provided her clients with strategic, organizational, and operational design solutions.  Her client focus included, higher education institutions and non-profit organizations.  Cara collaborated closely with Board Members, Presidents, Senior-Level Administration Members, Faculty, and Staff to identify, prioritize, and implement solutions that spanned all areas of the organization.  Her work encompassed strategic planning, organizational design, fundraising optimization, program management, and cost savings initiatives.  Cara also co-led Accenture’s K-12 Education Business Development Team, generating more than $2M in paid work. 

 

Prior to her MBA, Cara worked in both Investment Banking and Equity Research at Janney Montgomery Scott, LLC.  Cara executed transactions totaling more than $1.5B in Investment Banking, and covered research on eCommerce and Interactive Entertainment stocks in Equity Research, including Amazon.com, eBay, Shutterfly, Blue Nile, Vistaprint, Activision Blizzard, and Electronic Arts. 

 

Cara holds an MBA from Cornell University, where she was a Roy H. Park Leadership Fellow.  She earned her BA in Mathematics from Bryn Mawr College.  Cara currently serves on the President’s Advisory Council for Bryn Mawr College, is a Member of the Board of The Sylvia Bozeman and Rhonda Hughes EDGE Foundation, and is President of the Cornell MBA Club of Philadelphia.
