Carrie Irwin

Carrie Irwin, born and raised in Amarillo, Texas, returned to the area after graduating cum laude from Texas Tech University with two bachelor’s degrees, Accounting and Marketing. For the past eight years, Carrie has been the Marketing Manager at Suddenlink Communications and most recently accepted the System Director position.  She has helped grow the market by 6% and more than 20,000 revenue generating units.  Carrie created a completely new sales channel by building a team of direct sales agents. She works directly with the technical and retail departments to facilitate a customer oriented sales culture.

 

Carrie has developed various community programs for Suddenlink; most notably a partnership with the Amarillo YMCA called the Suddenlink Y Cup.  This event won the 2012 Beacon Award which is a national communications industry award. Carrie’s career and devotion to non-profits has presented a number of volunteer opportunities and community leadership roles including serving as Board President for the Amarillo YMCA and a Board Member for the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce. She has also served in a variety of volunteer positions with the March of Dimes, the United Way, Big Brother Big Sister, and Meals on Wheels. She has been named a recipient of the Amarillo Chamber’s "Top 20 Under 40" as well as the "Texas Business Women – Emerging Professional Women Award" in 2013. 

 

Carrie is married to Jeff Irwin and is blessed with two daughters, Lucy and Mary.
