Caryn LoCastro

Caryn LoCastro is the Director of Marketing and Promotions at Sundance Channel, overseeing consumer marketing initiatives for the network’s original series and tent-pole events. She is responsible for campaign development, digital and social media strategy, promotional activations, and partnerships that generate tune-in, engagement, and brand equity. During her three year tenure, Caryn has cultivated innovative multi-platform tactics and millions of earned impressions for series like “Top of the Lake”, “Push Girls”, and “Girls Who Like Boys Who Like Boys”, as well as incremental marketing and sponsorship opportunities through her work on the Sundance Film Festival. Additionally, she helps foster team building and community outreach activities at AMC Networks as a member of the corporate Culture Committee and general manager of the softball program.

Prior to AMCN, Caryn held marketing positions within MTV Networks and USA Network. At MTVN, she built promotional strategies and partnerships to boost sales for Nickelodeon home entertainment and Viacom consumer products. At USA, she managed the development of brand and pro-social initiatives, including Character Project, Character Approved, and Characters Unite, while assisting with the implementation of media plans, promotions, and consumer outreach for hit series like “Psych”, “Burn Notice”, and “Law & Order: Criminal Intent”.

Caryn received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Middlebury College, where she majored in Sociology & Anthropology and minored in Film & Media Culture and Spanish. After graduating Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude, she completed the Tuck Business Bridge Program at Dartmouth College. She remains active in both alumni networks, participating in panels and providing mentorship to students and recent graduates. Caryn is a member of CTAM and WICT, having served on WICT’s national junior board in 2011, and she currently resides in New York City with her husband.
