Cecelia Gordon was recently promoted in 2020 to Vice President, Distribution. She joined Starz in August 2017 as Senior Director, Revenue Marketing on the Affiliate Sales & Marketing Team.
Cecelia is responsible for securing and executing on revenue and subscriber growth strategies with MVPD sales and marketing teams to increase Starz subscribers through multi-tactical consumer marketing campaigns and affiliate sales channel programs while driving viewership and recognition for Starz and its products and services in the marketplace.
Cecelia started her career at Verizon Communications. In her last role at Verizon, she led content acquisition, deal negotiations and strategy for Verizon’s portfolio of over 20 International and Spanish premium packages. She successfully increased Fios Spanish language package penetration with the launch of new to market Spanish-language HD & SD channels, and establishing exclusivity and Spanish content leadership claims. She increased average sales for Italian, Portuguese and South Asian – Hindi channels with new package launches and refreshed channel offerings. During her tenure in this role she also expanded Spanish language content on Verizon’s mobile and owned & operated digital platforms.
Cecelia graduated from Pace University, Lubin School of Business with a MBA in Marketing. She holds her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Iona College.
