Cecilia Isaacs-Blundin

Cecilia Isaacs-Blundin is Senior Director of Diversity & Inclusion at Comcast Corporation, responsible for driving the development and implementation of the company’s D&I strategy and initiatives spanning corporate governance, workforce, procurement, programming, and community investment.  She plays a key role in the ongoing operation of Comcast NBCUniversal’s external Joint Diversity Advisory Council and works extensively with the company’s Internal Diversity Councils, as well as various business units and Cable Divisions.  Ms. Isaacs-Blundin is also Co-Lead of OUT@Comcast, the company’s LGBT-focused Employee Resource Group (ERG), and she previously served as Co-Lead of MyAbilities, the company’s ERG focused on people with disabilities. 

 

From 2006 to early 2012, Ms. Isaacs-Blundin practiced law as an associate with Ballard Spahr LLP in Philadelphia.  There, she represented clients in a range of industries, including entertainment and communications companies, utility providers, and technology firms.  Her practice focused on commercial litigation, regulatory compliance, export control, and data security. 

 

Ms. Isaacs-Blundin also has experience representing criminal defendants.  In April 2010, The Philadelphia Inquirer highlighted her work with the Defender Association of Philadelphia, a public interest legal group serving indigent clients.  In 2005 and 2006, she litigated misdemeanor trials in the Superior Court of Washington, D.C.  

 

Ms. Isaacs-Blundin is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University’s Schreyer Honors College (cum laude) where she earned a B.S. in Spanish (business emphasis), B.A. in English, and International Studies minor.  She earned a J.D. from the George Washington University Law School (magna cum laude) where she served as Articles Editor of the International Law Review, and was elected to the Order of the Coif.  During law school, she interned with AARP’s Office of Legal Counsel for the Elderly in Washington, D.C., and served as a Peggy Browning Fellow at Community Legal Services in Philadelphia. 

 

Ms. Isaacs-Blundin is a recipient of the Philadelphia Business Journal‘s 2016 LGBT Business of Pride Awards.  She serves on the Board of Directors of the Women’s Business Development Center (WBDC) and Independence Business Alliance (IBA), as well as the US Business Leadership Network’s (USBLN®) Corporate Advisory Board.   She previously served on the Board of Philadelphia’s SeniorLAW Center.  Ms. Isaacs-Blundin has published articles and lectured on a range of topics, including D&I, ERGs, and issues affecting the LGBT community.  She is also a marathon runner, published poet, and FCC-licensed amateur radio operator.
