As Suddenlink’s Vice President, Technology Integration, Chandni Thakrar-Ochoa leads a team that oversees development, integration, implementation, and ongoing operations of new technology and system integration initiatives.
Chandni began her telecommunications career in 2001 with Cox Communications, as part of the West Texas Cox Business Services teams. Since then, she has held a variety of leadership positions for Cox and Suddenlink.
That leadership has extended from the office to several industry organizations. Chandni is an active member of Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT), National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC), and Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE).
Chandni’s team is responsible for implementing Suddenlink’s large technology and new process initiatives, working hand in hand with corporate and regional teams to ensure a seamless internal and external customer experience.
Most recently that included an 18-month effort to gain Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) status, the development and testing of a new back office OSS/BSS system and phone network, and ultimately the successful migration of approximately 750,000 phone lines. Chandni also leads a team that administers and supports web-based change and incident management applications, and alarming for Suddenlink’s national backbone for internal engineering teams; and a technical writing team charged with producing new product and process implementation documents.
Chandni currently serves as president of the WICT Midwest Chapter. She was named WICT Midwest’s Woman in Technology in 2010, and in 2012 received the chapter’s highest recognition, the Spirit of the Midwest Award. She is also a 2011 Rising Leaders (RLP) graduate, and 2014 Betsy Magness (BMLI) graduate of Class 28.

A Texas native, Chandni lives in St. Louis, Mo., with her husband and two sons.
