Cheré Boone

Cheré Boone is a Manager of ESPN’s Content Associate Program (CAP).  In this role, she oversees the hiring of entry-level Production Assistants who support areas like Studio, Event and International Production.  In addition to her hiring responsibilities Cheré leads training and development efforts for the program.  She relishes the opportunity to find, hire and grow ESPN’s future production leaders.    

 

Before joining the CAP management team in 2015, Cheré spent 12 years working in various production roles creating content for studio shows like SportsCenter and Outside the Lines, contributing to ESPN’s Features Unit and producing for the company’s digital and social media platforms.  Her work has earned some of the broadcast industry’s most coveted honors, including the prestigious Sports Emmy Award and New York Festivals Gold World Medal.  

 

Cheré is a staunch believer in the value of lifelong learning.  She earned her bachelor’s degree in Radio-TV-Film from Howard University, a master’s degree in Interactive Communications from Quinnipiac University and she is currently continuing her education at New York University, studying Learning and Training Development.   

 

Cheré is mother to one beloved son and she enjoys mentoring, public speaking and volunteering in the community and at her local church.  Having been born in the Washington, D.C. area and raised in Southern California, she has a bicoastal sports allegiance.  She is a fan of the Washington Redskins and the Los Angeles Lakers and is waiting for both to return to glory.
