Christy Smith

Christy Smith is a University of Texas at Austin graduate and Nickelodeon’s Director of Social Campaign Strategy, striving to creatively tell exciting and authentic stories through an ever-evolving kid lens. From bringing the Kids’ Choice Awards to life on social to relaunching beloved shows like Are You Afraid of the Dark? and All That, she’s a big kid at heart!

A true advocate for Black voices and experiences in media, she joined the ViacomCBS family three years ago after being instrumental in developing social and digital campaigns for OWN TV shows Greenleaf & Queen Sugar, cultivating the voice and online social presence for the leader in entertainment for women of color.

In her current role, along with leading a team of seasoned social strategists, Christy is a member of Nickelodeon’s Inclusivity Council, whose mission is to grow the brand by promoting diversity and inclusion, as well as creating more opportunities for people of color at the network. She’s also part of Nickelodeon’s Anti-Racism Core Team, working to develop the brand’s continuous effort to combat racism and enrich the minds of the burgeoning kid audience. Through the power of social media she’s influenced many, but her true passion is reaching back and lifting up.
