Ciel VanderVeen

Ciel VanderVeen is the Supervising Producer of Events & Special Projects at MTV Digital, leading day-to-day production on MTV’s tent poles including the Movie Awards and Video Music Awards. As a digital lead, she plays a vital role in the online strategy, execution and multiplatform success of MTV’s biggest events.  Over the past several years, she has been instrumental in developing and refining digital event production and live co-viewing experiences which ultimately led to year-over-year growth, record-breaking stats and increased revenue.

In 2010, she produced the cross-brand presence for MTV Network’s ‘Hope For Haiti Now’ telethon by coordinating digital production efforts on multiple live streams, video and syndicated content for MTV Networks’ music sites. The event was the most widely distributed telethon ever, both internationally and across media platforms.  Ciel began her career as a producer for MTV.com, where she created original online content and developed digital programming strategies for various shows including The Hills and Real World. Her work on The Real World/Road Rules Challenge gave her the opportunity to produce content in Brazil, Australia and South Africa.

Originally from Ohio, Ciel currently resides in Brooklyn with her husband.  In her spare time she enjoys running, traveling and finding new places to eat.
