Dana Strong

Dana Strong is President and Chief Operating Officer at Virgin Media, a UK based cable services provider and part of the Liberty Global Group. Virgin Media has 5.4 million cable customers and a further 3 million mobile customers across the UK. Virgin Media is the lead innovator in ultrafast broadband and value bundles for the home.

 

Dana leads Virgin Media’s Consumer division.  The unit is an end to end business unit responsible for the entire consumer experience. Direct areas of accountability are consumer value propositions, product roadmap and innovation, pricing, marketing, sales, customer contact centers, digital transformation, and field installations.

 

Dana has held many key positions within Liberty Global’s operations. Between 2015 and 2017 Dana was Senior Vice President, Chief Transformation Officer at Liberty Global (CtrO). As CTrO, Dana worked directly with Liberty Global’s President and CEO Mike Fries, leading the Group’s strategic and operational transformation program. From 2013 until 2015, she worked as the Chief Operating Officer at Virgin Media where she oversaw major restructures of the business and product portfolio. This followed two years as Chief Executive Officer of Liberty Global’s Ireland operations, overseeing the operation’s strong growth, improved customer satisfaction and successful track record of product innovation. Prior to that, Dana served as the Chief Operating Officer of AUSTAR United Communications Ltd, at the time a Liberty Global subsidiary and an Australian public company.

 

Dana sits on the board of Telenet Group Holding NV, a Liberty Global subsidiary and a Belgian public limited liability company.

 

Dana is a dual degree graduate from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Economics from The Wharton School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the College of Arts and Sciences.
