Dana Zimmer

Dana Zimmer is the Executive Vice President of TV Networks Distribution for NBCUniversal, where she oversees the national sales team in the distribution of NBCUniversal’s television content to the cable, satellite and telco industries, reporting to Bridget Baker. Zimmer oversees key distribution deals for NBCU’s multi-billion dollar content portfolio of cable networks, including Bravo, CNBC, E!, G4, Golf Channel, Style Network, Syfy, MSNBC, USA and NBC Sports Network, as well as the Olympics on cable and retransmission consent for the NBC and Telemundo networks. Additionally, Zimmer plays a key role in the distribution efforts of Comcast Sports Networks’ in the Bay Area, California, Chicago, Mid-Atlantic, New England, Northwest, Philadelphia, Southeast, Southwest, The Mtn. – Mountain West Sports Network, SportsNet New York and The Comcast Network. She also works with NBCUniversal’s Digital Distribution division to deliver digital services to the company’s TV Networks Distribution partners. 

Zimmer previously served as EVP, Affiliate Sales and Marketing for Comcast Networks from 2005  through the Comcast acquisition of NBCUniversal in January 2011, where she co-managed affiliate sales, marketing, business development and national account distribution efforts for the Comcast Networks.

Prior to joining Comcast, Zimmer played an integral role on the launch teams that spearheaded successful distribution efforts of YES Network and SportsNet New York – the very first team-owned Regional Sports Networks lead by the Yankees and Mets respectively in the biggest sports market in the nation.  Previously, Dana worked in affiliate sales for Fox Cable Networks and Discovery Communications.  Zimmer began her career at Home Team Sports, now known as Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic, in Bethesda, Maryland.

Zimmer was selected in 2012 for Multichannel’s prestigious “Wonder Woman” award and has been listed on Multichannel News’  "40 under 40" and “Women to Watch” lists. Additionally, she was recently named to WICT’s 2012 Board of Directors and has been included as one of CableFAX’s “Most Powerful Women in Cable” and Sports Business Journal’s “40 under 40.” Zimmer holds a Master of Arts degree in Public Communication from American University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication and Management from Syracuse University.  She currently resides in Philadelphia with her husband Clay and their two children, Ava and Chase.
