Danielle Carrig

Danielle Carrig is Senior Vice President, Communications and Public Affairs for Lifetime Networks.

 

Carrig oversees the communications and publicity strategy for Lifetime, in addition to leading the company’s Emmy Award-winning public affairs efforts.   Carrig began her tenure at Lifetime in 2009 as Senior Vice President of Public Affairs.  She drives Lifetime’s public affairs priorities by leveraging the company’s powerful media assets to execute campaigns that advocate on a wide range of issues affecting women and families, in addition to addressing a variety of critical social issues we face today.  Her work building partnerships with talent, civic leaders, government officials, key members of the media and hundreds of non-profit organizations has helped to make Lifetime one of the most trusted brands among women.  Broad Focus, the company’s latest major initiative under Carrig’s leadership, is dedicated to increasing the numbers of women in behind-the-camera roles as directors, writers and producers at Lifetime.

 

Prior to joining Lifetime, Carrig was Executive Director of Step Up Women’s Network.  There she directed the organization’s national objectives of raising awareness and strengthening resources for women’s health initiatives, educational programming for underserved girls and women’s professional development while managing the organization’s three offices in Chicago, Los Angeles and New York.  In her four years as executive director, revenue increased by 600% and the organization became one of the most sought after women’s groups in the country.

 

Carrig holds an M.A. in women’s studies from UCLA, where she focused on the implications of U.S. foreign policy on women’s lives in the developing world. Danielle earned her B.A. in political science, humanities and gender studies summa cum laude from Valparaiso University.
