Senior Manager, Enterprise Applications Support Cox Communications
Deanna Wright is a Senior Manager at Cox Communications, Inc., the third largest cable entertainment and broadband services provider in the country. She is responsible for providing technical support for Cox’s internal Finance, Supplychain, Human Resources, and Sales systems. As application owner overseeing the daily operation of these systems, she partners closely with their functional business owners, infrastructure and development teams, as well as, third party vendors to ensure that Cox’s internal systems are available and reliable for over 20K employees. Deanna is also leading an On-Boarding Initiative across Technology Operations, which is designed to accelerate the transition process for new hires. The initiative will provide them with the tools and resources to perform their job at a level of excellence and rapidly immerse them into the Cox culture. In 2010, Deanna was selected to attend Cox’s Leadership in Action training program which provides an opportunity for upcoming leaders to enhance their leadership skills and develop techniques to expand critical thinking, mobilizing energy, and retaining talent.
Deanna has worked with Oracle systems for over 15 years in various capacities, including consulting and leading development and operation support teams. Prior to joining Cox in 2006, she served as IT Program Manager at General Electric Energy implementing procurement, vendor management, data warehouse and contingent labor systems for their Global Sourcing organization.
Deanna received her B.S degree in Computer Information Systems from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University and has continued her education in the industry through numerous professional development workshops and seminars. She resides in the metropolitan Atlanta area with her husband and their 4-year old son.
