Director, Sales BET Networks
Debra is responsible for managing the Direct Response team. She is
focused on building the brand and increasing revenue sales.
Debra manages the Direct
Response efforts which generated over $70 million in advertising sales. She has implemented different
aspects of business development by utilizing effective sales strategies. She motivates
and elevates the team on prospecting new business while presenting
revenue-generating ideas to increase overall goals. Debra’s strengths are developing
strong multiple agency and client relationships to provide customer focused solutions
and sales process improvement.
Prior to joining BET Networks in 2007, Debra
began her media career at NBC Television Stations division where she
successfully completed the Sales Associate Program in 2000 and was immediately placed
on the sales team in New York. She was
responsible for managing agency accounts, creating partnerships and developing
marketing strategies. In 2004, Debra earned a Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
from NBC for quality improvement.
Debra holds a BA in English
with a minor in Communications from Saint Joseph’s University. She is active in fundraising efforts for
non-profit organizations including various charities such as, Alex’s Lemonade
Stand Foundation and The American Cancer Society. Debra is originally from Houston, Texas and
currently resides in Manhattan, New York.
