Deniece Jones is the Senior Director, IT Desktop Support for Viacom Inc. in New York City. Deniece has been with the company since 1991. In her role she oversees the support of all company computer hardware and mobile devices for the East Coast and Central Coast region. She manages the support for all of Viacom Production events such as the MTV Movie Awards, Kids Choice Awards, Video Music Awards, BET Experience and etc. Deniece and her department is enlisted to introduce new technologies to the company to better support their business needs. Her department just launched a Tech Lounge where employees can bring their broken computers and mobile devices and get them repaired. The Tech Lounge will also introduce the new gadgets in the Tech industry. It’s our own little CES in the building.
Deniece believes in growing her employees, so she implemented her own mentoring program where her employees would mentor with other IT departments to gain hands on skills that would otherwise cost the company thousands of dollars to acquire. Since the start of her Mentoring Program, 5 of her employees have been promoted to position in other parts of the IT organization.
Deniece is a fan of ballroom dancing and spas. Her goal upon her retirement one day is to visit every spa in the world. She currently resides in Long Island with her two children and grandson.
