Dwight Duke

As a senior vice president, Dwight Duke serves as business lead for the Service Provider Video Technology Group.  He is also responsible for the Atlanta Operating Committee which develops and implements strategic direction.  In addition, he is responsible for leading the execution of the integration of Scientific Atlanta and Cisco.  He is also the Site Executive.  His broad area of responsibility includes business units that enable programmers, service providers and cable operators to deliver broadband services to consumers.

Dwight joined Scientific-Atlanta in 1978 and served in operations management, distribution and headend products for CATV, followed by positions in product and major program management in the Broadband Communications group.  He was vice president of strategic operations of the Network Systems Group followed by responsibility for the company’s Digital Video System business.  In the fall of 1993, Dwight was appointed vice president of International Satellite Systems Business and became president of the Satellite Television Network Division (now Digital Media Networks) the next year.  He was named an officer in the company in 1996 and became president of Transmission Network Systems in 1997.

Dwight was inducted into the National Cable and Telecommunications Association (NCTA) Cable TV Pioneers in 2003. He is a strong advocate for the Junior Achievement program and serves as chairman on its Board of Directors.  Dwight also serves on the Board of Directors of The Cable Center and Women in Cable Telecommunications.  A native of Augusta, Georgia, he is a graduate of Georgia Southern University where he received his B.S. in Industrial Management in 1974.  Dwight and his wife, Ann have a daughter, two sons and two grandsons.
